Learn how to apply a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods to current, pressing health issues and how to critically assess published research. The skills you gain on this course will enable you to pursue a career in research through academia and/or a combination of clinical healthcare practice.You’ll graduate with a multifaceted understanding of health research that is increasingly sought after in healthcare and research environments.The course is flexible and can be delivered on a full or part-time basis, attracting people who might also be working alongside their study.Course contentOur course will equip you with a wide range of applied health research skills to enable you to become a proficient and confident researcher. You will be taught by academics who will draw on their experience to provide you with an excellent grounding in health research methods including systematic reviews, randomised controlled trials, epidemiology, health economics, statistics and qualitative methods.Careers and skillsGraduates from this course have followed a broad range of careers. Many have taken up jobs in health research or have gone on to study for PhDs. Others have utilised their research knowledge within healthcare services or attained employment in health policy, including organisations such as the World Health Organisation.
