Loughborough has been teaching construction at postgraduate level longer than any other university in the UK. Our MSc Construction Project Management spans the technical and managerial sides of the discipline, while providing a holistic view of construction project processes.Competency in project management has become a crucial skill set of all construction professionals and executives, with many construction project managers functioning in a strategic and coordinating role in the delivery of the client’s physical development and investment programme. This MSc is designed to develop your knowledge and advance your career within the construction industry. Our Construction Project Management programme differs in the module selection of our other construction programmes. It shares the same set of core semester one modules, but this programme has three compulsory modules in core project management topics in semester two, leaving a fourth slot for an optional module in a more business-oriented topic. Our School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering aspires to be the world’s leading integrated centre for built environment research and education. This uniquely holistic view of construction makes it best placed for developing graduates to meet the increasing demands of the sector. Our School is one of four Royal Academy of Engineering Centres of Excellence in Sustainable Building Design, and one of the six most highly funded EPSRC-funded groups working on built environment topics. We are also a corporate affiliate member of the Association of Project Management. The School hosts the Building and Industrial Services Pipework Academy (BISPA). It is a collaboration with global steel manufacturer Tata Steel and its Tubes business, and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).We have recently invested £6 million in building expansion and development, which includes new dedicated study areas and computer resources.
