Working on projects with other students and with industry partners is part of the curriculum.We work closely with the biggest names in industry on game-changing research. So you can expect first-rate facilities, including state-of-the-art teaching space, labs and industry-standard equipment. Both the Rolls-Royce Centre for Advanced Machines and Drives, and the Sheffield-Siemens Wind Power Research Centre are based here in the department.Another advantage is that you’re not tied to the degree you register for. If you want to, you can switch to any other undergraduate course in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering after your second year.All our courses are accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. The MEng meets all the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Our graduates work for companies including Airbus UK, Arup, EDF Energy, EON, Ericsson, National Grid, Nokia, Rolls-Royce, Shell and Siemens.
