Our School of Architecture, where you will also study, is ranked 3rd in the UK by the the Times Good University Guide 2018 and No 1 for research by the 2014 Research Assessment Framework (REF).It’s a demanding course and spending a year on placement extends it to five years, so you have to be committed. As well as putting your knowledge to practical use and improving your job prospects you will be paid a salary during your placement year.The course is accredited by professional bodies including the the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. It meets all the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Graduates work all over the world for companies including Amey, Arup, Mott MacDonald, URS, Kier and VolkerFitzpatrick Ltd.
