**Summary**: This integrated master’s course covers all the essential material required by a computer science graduate. It is a four-year course with an optional placement year in industry between Years 2 and 3 – it combines study at bachelor’s level (BSc) with study at master’s level (MComp).**Course details**: You study a curriculum designed in conjunction with industry that will equip you with skills that are in great demand. You gain a sound, in-depth grasp of core areas in computer science and undertake a major independent project. You can specialise in cutting-edge areas that include Artificial Intelligence and Complex Systems, Advanced Cloud-based Services and Big Data. This course prepares you for a wide range of careers in varied industries including software development, financial services, management and games companies. We have well-equipped state-of-the-art computing laboratories and facilities, including specialised equipment that you can use to undertake development projects and build innovative prototypes. For optional placements, our students have been placed in organisations such as IBM, Microsoft, SABIC Petrochemicals and Thomson Reuters.**After the course**: Our computing students go into a wide range of careers, both nationally and globally. Graduates have gone on to work in the power industry, avionics and the pharmaceutical industry.
