LLB (Hons) Law with Professional Legal Practice

Set in 600 acres of countryside in North Staffordshire, we have one of the largest and most beautiful campuses in Britain. We’re proud to be No.2 in England for Student Satisfaction with Course (Guardian University League Table, 2020), investing more than £140m in our campus in the last ten years, including £45m new science laboratories. In 2021 we were proud to be awarded Sustainability Institution of the Year at the prestigious Green Gown Awards as part of our mission to become a carbon neutral campus by 2030. We’re committed to supporting you to achieve your career goals, and have a dedicated Careers and Employability team who can assist you to navigate your options beyond Keele. This innovative programme will equip you with the core foundation legal knowledge and practical skills needed for entry to the legal profession particularly in a paralegal capacity. The Law with Professional Legal Practice pathway is an innovative response to the Solicitors Qualifying Examination. This pathway will deliver the same core modules addressing the Foundations of Legal Knowledge that are offered in all of our Law pathways. It will also provide the opportunity for students wishing to qualify as a solicitor to follow a dedicated pathway of practice based modules within a Law degree with the quality and rigour recognised externally by law firms and chambers. In addition to the dedicated practice-based modules, you’ll have lots of opportunities to further develop your practical skills. There are opportunities to take part in mooting (practising oral arguments), client interviewing, negotiation, or volunteering (subject to a selection process) as a Community Legal Companion or in either our Divorce or Commercial Law Legal Advice Clinics.
