BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying Consultancy
This degree offers you the skills for practice as a quantity surveyor. It reflects the technical, economic, legal and managerial expertise required in this industry. Quantity surveyors ensure developments and construction projects are completed on time and within budget. You will study the variety of tasks included in the role, such as: providing clients with strategic business advice; providing advice on cost implications; minimizing costs while still meeting the required standards of quality; complying with regulations; and incorporating sustainability into a project. The course gives you a business perspective. It enables you to understand the construction industry and its relationship to the consultancy market. The BSc (Hons) full time, part time and sandwich routes of this course are accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) for 2018 entry.Coursework is designed to be achieved within the set amount of learning hours for each module and is appropriate to the level of study.
