Our practical course has a focus on digital fabrication technologies and helps you become a creative problem-solver, with the ability to generate innovative design solutions.You’ll study core design and mechanical engineering subjects exploring: CAD, dynamics, control, manufacturing, electronics, electrical machines, mechanics, materials and computing. And you’ll build skills in advanced digital fabrication processes and computer-based tools for design, modelling and simulation.Learning through design exercises and case studies you’ll work with other engineering specialists on projects based on real-world scenarios, with links to industry. You’ll integrate mechanical, electronic and software design and build the knowledge and skills needed to bring new and innovative products and services to market.Placements and guest lectures from industry experts provide valuable professional insight and networking opportunities.Our Design Engineering MEng offers an extra year of study at masters level.
