BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering with a Year in Industry

We work closely with our partners in industry to develop course content. And first-year students are mentored by professionals.It’s a demanding course and spending a year on placement extends it to four years, so have to be committed. But the benefits are worth it. During the placement year, you’ll be paid a salary as you put your knowledge to practical use and improve your job prospects. The three-year BSc doesn’t meet the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. But it is accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers and others. Graduates work all over the world for companies including AECOM, Arup, Mott MacDonald, URS, Kier and VolkerFitzpatrick Ltd.
