BA (Hons) Business Management and Economics

Your time is split equally between Business Management and Economics. You’ll get a good grounding in both subjects, which opens up different career possibilities. The Sheffield University Management School is triple-accredited (by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS) which puts it among the top one per cent of management schools in the world. It’s also one of the biggest departments in the university, with students from every part of the world, so you can expect a vibrant, multicultural atmosphere. Sheffield is one of the few universities in the north of England with a stand-alone economics department. And its reputation is solid: staff advise UK government departments and international organisations. You will be spending half your time there, so it’s good to know they have the breadth of expertise to cover most topics.Many of our graduates find work with multinational companies because they understand international markets as well as the social and cultural aspects of doing business on a global scale. They work for the usual big names such as Amazon, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Rolls-Royce. They also find roles in the public sector, with NGOs, and with charities.
